A little tooth sensitivity after whitening is totally normal, and it usually fades away quickly. We want to make sure you have a great experience from start to finish, so here are a few tips to keep you comfortable and help your new smile last.
Teeth Whitening Aftercare Instructions
Your teeth are more porous and vulnerable to staining immediately after whitening.
Coffee, tea, soda, red wine, berries, tomato sauce, soy sauce, chocolate, dark juices, and artificially colored foods.
Water, milk, chicken, fish, rice, pasta, potatoes, bananas, cauliflower, and clear/light beverages.
These products can quickly re-stain teeth after whitening.
Use sensitive toothpaste, avoid hot/cold foods, brush gently, and use OTC comfort medication as recommended.
Brush and floss normally, avoid alcohol-based mouthwash for 24 hours, and rinse with lukewarm water.
Drink plenty of water and rinse your mouth after eating.
Limit dark beverages, use a straw when possible, maintain regular dental cleanings, and follow touch-up recommendations.
